Lincoln Journal Star Endorses Gene Carroll

Dear Friends:

Today the Lincoln Journal Star endorsed my plan to move Lincoln forward by creating new jobs, providing tax relief, revitalizing neighborhood and cutting government waste:

“Eugene W. Carroll, who now chairs the Lincoln-Lancaster Planning Commission, already has amassed working knowledge of one important duties of city government – zoning and land use.

“His experience in that post will help him quickly shoulder the council workload. His record in that post also inspires confidence that he will avoid the political infighting that too often shows up during council meetings.

“The editorial board also finds favor with Carroll’s priorities. His top priority is job creation in the current economic downturn. He also gives high priority to find innovative ways to fund road construction for residential and retail development.”

With your help we have run an aggressive campaign. We have nearly 200 2x4 and 4x8 signs throughout the city, and we were the first to run a full flight of radio ads. Each night I’m meeting with voters on the phone or in person and I know our message to Move Lincoln Forward is getting through.

But there is more to do. Please consider making a contribution of $25, $50, $100 or whatever you can afford to help increase our radio buy and hopefully head into the May General Election in a competitive financial position.
